Two Stories in One
This novel is actually two stories in one. The first story, “The Lotus Flower” is based on Cardassia after the Dominion War left the planet devastated.

Two Books in One: 1st is pure trash 2nd is AWESOME
For Trekkies:
Cardassia: who cares about a lenghty description of an unimportant government decision, a PURE WASTE OF INK AND PAPER.

Cardassia needs tighter but Andor better
These two novelletes are entertaining and give the dedicated ST reader more background on both planets. The Cardassia part however is not as well written and feels loose.

Brilliant – with a minor flaw!
This review is based solely on the Andorian story, as I could find nothing wrong with the Cardassian story.

Worlds of DS9 part 1
The book consists of two mini novels namely, The Lotus Flower (Cardassia) and Paradigm (Andor). I found both stories average to below average.

3 stars for Cardassia, 1 star for Andor
Una McCormack’s Cardassia story is a solid effort, with a welcome back into the fold (sort of) of the O’Brien clan.

Cardassia Story Weak
I enjoyed the Andor story much more than the Cardassia one. Ms McCormack did not get a real grasp of the characters and dissappointed me.

Like another reviewer, Ian McLean, I started with ANDOR first- it was great! I found out a lot I never heard before and hope to see more in the future!

Boring…
I’m a fan of all Star Trek, through and through—but I have to say that this book bored me to tears. Each time I picked this one up I fell asleep.
